We are a specialist design studio
Ledbury Studio does not work from fixed collections or predefined options. Every kitchen begins with a blank page and is designed specifically for its space, its users, and the way it will be lived in.
We take time to understand how you cook, how you move through your home, and what matters most to you. From there, we design a kitchen that feels natural in use and distinctive in character.

Beautiful original materials, shown in a new light
Materials play a central role in every Ledbury kitchen.
Rather than choosing finishes from a standard palette, we work closely with specialist makers to develop surfaces, textures, and details that feel considered and individual.
This may include hand-applied patinas on copper or brass, rare timbers selected for their grain and tone, or finishes developed specifically for a single project. Materials are chosen for how they age, how they feel to use, and how they sit within a home, rather than for their novelty.
Founded on a lifetime of designing and making
Ledbury Studio is led by Charlie Smallbone, a name long associated with British kitchen craft.
After decades of shaping the industry, Charlie has adopted a more focused way of working with Ledbury Studio: fewer projects, closer collaboration and a deeper connection between design and making.
This experience brings clarity and confidence to the studio’s work. Decisions are purposeful, designs are resolved and every kitchen is built with an understanding of how it will perform over time.
Our kitchen is a long and narrow space but Charlie and the team at Ledbury Studio have done an amazing job of fitting absolutely everything in that we wanted.
From a breakfast cupboard and a place for all our cookbooks to plenty of worktop space and cupboards that extend all the way up to the ceiling, it’s perfectly tailored to our lives.
Though I have to say, the stand-out feature is the verre eglomise splashback. We knew we wanted a floral motif and Charlie went out of the way to achieve this stunning design. We love it.
