The Warehouse Kitchen, Wapping E1
A building redolent with the history of London's docklands provides a wonderful backdrop for our Wapping project.
The Metallics Collection integrates effortlessly with the retained industrial features and the scale of the Wapping Warehouse. The result is a perfect harmony of modern design and a classic restored Port of London warehouse building right on the river.
The walls of the original kitchen were removed, transforming the space into an open plan kitchen, dining room and living room, truly a kitchen with soul for a modern way of living.
The kitchen at Wapping is a tranquil place to spend time, and a beautiful space for entertaining friends and family.
Our warehouse apartment has a large open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, and it was important that the kitchen wasn't just a purely functional space for cooking but a key part of furnishing the whole living area, to compliment the authenticity of our listed building. For us, this is something Ledbury Studio does better than anyone else. We gain enormous pleasure from Charlie’s use of beautifully crafted materials – the metal trims, brass hinges and copper panels give the kitchen both a distinctive and a sophisticated look. We needed a dramatic design and once we had seen the Ledbury kitchen, there was only ever one choice.
